Name: Majinuni
Sex: Male
Bio: Majinuni's name means madman, and it is an apt term. He seems to constantly rage against the world and himself, for seemingly no reason. Although he has good reason to be as he is. Maj was born Hodari, named so by his poor mother. He is the sole son of M'korofi and Dhalili, and brother to Tunu. His father was cruel and callous and ruled his family with an iron claw, meeting any opposition with violence. Hodari quickly became covered in scars but did not lose his fighting spirit, angered by the abuse heaped upon his mother. When his precious sister is braindamaged by a blow to the head from his father, Hodari became very protective of her and would never leave her side.
Living under such tyranny, he was very unstable and fragile inside, and the shining light came from a beautiful young luim that befriended him in secret. Malaika, his angel, the light of his life, kept his youth from becoming a dark, depressing hole. He spent many happy hours playing with her and his sister Tunu away from the disapproving angry eyes of his father. Things continue this way for a number of years until finally, M'korofi murders Dhalili right in front of Hodari's eyes. A young adult by this point, he can no longer take it and attacks his father. The fight is long and brutal, but when it ends, M'korofi is dead.
Now it seemed, he could finally begin a happy life together with his beloved mate. Things go horribly wrong however, and Malaika dies in childbirth. This is the breaking point. Hodari breaks inside, his mind snaps, and from that point on, he is known simply as Majinuni, "madman", by the animals who live in fear around him and by his own family.
The cub he blames for his mate's death is a spitting image of Majinuni himself, and he simply cannot take seeing his own scared face staring back at him day after day after day. He lashes out, not at Duni, but at the image of himself he sees in his son. The other two cubs resemble the beloved figures he has lost, and so he names them Heart and Soul, Ini and Nafsi. Ini looks just like her mother, and Nafsi resembles his paternal grandmother and aunt. Because of this, he heaps love and affection upon them as he heaps abuse upon Duni, seeing them not as seperate beings but reincarnations of his lost loved ones, determined that he will not lose them a second time.
When he accidentally strikes Ini instead of Duni one day and he believes her dead, what's left of Majinuni's mind leaves him completely. He cuts a bloody trail through the savannah, cutting himself with his claws and bashing his body against rocks and trees. The self-carnage finally ends when he topples into a ravine.
